Drupal comes with basic social features out of the box - such as posting a comment - so it is important that people who contribute to a site can be indentified by name. In a normal installation Drupal allows users to manage information about themselves (such as preferred name or email address) under /users/*/ which would appear next to a post or comment. This functionality is disabled with the CERN Drupal service, however, because the data is managed by other CERN applications.
